Imamzadeh Isa (peace be upon him)
Imamzadeh Isa (PBUH) is located in Vavan town, Islamshahr county, and dates back to the Qajar era. This historical and religious site was registered as a national heritage in 2009. The features of Imamzadeh Isa (PBUH) include the dome house, northern and southern night halls on both sides of the dome house, the entrance porch to the east of the Imamzadeh, two rooms connected to the porch, and an area of about one hectare.
The dome of this Imamzadeh is made of cement, and the metal lattice shrine was replaced in 2002 with the previous wooden lattice shrine. Imamzadeh Isa (PBUH) is highly popular in Vavan town, so that many mourning ceremonies are held there during the second and third decades of Muharram.
Imamzadeh Isa (PBUH) is a descendant of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (PBUH), whose lineage reaches the second Shia Imam through seven intermediaries.
