The Imamzadeh Panj Tan Lavizan is the shrine of 5 brothers named Salem, Hossein, Mohammad (Abu Taleb), Abdolrahim (Abu Mohammad), and Saem. Imamzadeh Hossein, Salem, and Mohammad are descendants of Imam Musa Kazim (AS). Imamzadeh Saem is one of the descendants of Imam Hasan Mojtaba (AS) and the nephew of Shah Abdol Azim Hasani, and Imamzadeh Abdolrahim is also one of the descendants of Imam Sadeq (AS).
The building of this Imamzadeh dates back to the Qajar era, which was later expanded and turned into the current structure. This building was restored in 1997 and its area was increased to become one of the religious places in Tehran for pilgrims. Imamzadeh Panj Tan has a special atmosphere among the religious sites of Tehran.
