Description

Telegraph House

In the heart of Bandar Jask, the historic English Telegraph House building still stands firm and preserves memories of turbulent times. This building was established in 1286 Hijri Shamsi (1869 AD) as the commercial center of the East India Company and later became one of the first telegraph houses in Iran. The Jask Telegraph House was part of the English communication network on the Gwadar – Jask – Bandar Abbas route, enabling rapid message exchange between Iran and British colonies. The architecture of this building is inspired by the special features of tropical regions.
