Description

The Shah Abbas Bathhouse is another historical monument in the Kaleybar County of East Azerbaijan Province, dating back to the Safavid era. This bathhouse was built by the order of Shah Abbas Safavi, simultaneously with the Kaleybar Grand Mosque and right opposite it. Until around the year 1340 in the Solar Hijri calendar, this bathhouse was used by the local people, but afterwards it gradually became abandoned and, due to neglect, was filled with urban debris.

It is worth mentioning that about 10 years ago, under the supervision of the Cultural Heritage Organization, this historical building was restored, but after the restoration was completed, its doors remained closed to the general public. Essentially, the architecture of the Shah Abbas Bathhouse, with its unique columns and ceilings, provides an amazing space for all visitors and those interested in history, culture, and architecture.
