Description

One of the oldest tombstones remaining in Iran is the inscription of the Gabri Girl, which is considered one of the tourist attractions of Fars Province and is located in Eqlid. In the center of Eqlid city, there are several hills, and on the second hill, an old Imamzadeh with a large cemetery can be seen. After passing behind the Imamzadeh, on the slope of a hill called "Tal-e Qalat," a pit can be seen known as the Gabri Girl Pool. This valuable historical site, which is nearly two thousand years old, has remained unknown and neglected due to the inattention of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization officials. The Gabri Girl Pool was registered in 1975 under number 936 in the National Heritage List.
