The Saadat House in the Sang Siah neighborhood of Shiraz is an old house with a central courtyard and three-door and five-door rooms, which was registered as a national heritage site in 2003. One of the special features of this Qajar-era house is its unique decorations such as exquisite plasterwork and very fine knotwork, which give it a special beauty and delicacy. The Fars Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization restored parts of this valuable building in 2005 and then converted it into the Khatam Museum. This museum was established to introduce traditional Iranian arts and authentic handicrafts to the public, and currently, the Khatam workshop and handicrafts are held there.
