Description

Among the sights of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province in Basht county, one can refer to two stone columns belonging to the Sassanid era, known as "Two Graves Two Legs." This unique and interesting historical monument is located a short distance from two villages named "Shush" and "Dehkand." According to some experts, these columns are placed half a meter apart from each other, made of limestone, creamy in color, and carved uniformly.

Probably in the past, the historical monument Two Graves Two Legs was used as a fire altar.

They believe that these two pillars were likely used as fire altars and served as a guide for caravans and travelers lost at night. Interestingly, after initial excavations on these two ancient pillars, it seems that their space and general shape somewhat resemble the stone columns of Mithraic temples, such as the columns of the Khurheh temple in Mahalat.
