The green village of Koochari was located in the heart of towering mountains and several-year-old cypresses. Unfortunately, there is no trace of Koochari village left now! The Koochari Dam, one of the tourist attractions of Golpayegan, was put into operation in 2016. Many people lived in this village who had to migrate due to the construction of the Koochari Dam; because their houses had to be demolished! Although this dam was built to supply water to the people, it caused the destruction of hundreds of ancient cypress trees! Now the Koochari Dam has become one of the sights of Golpayegan. It is worth knowing that on holidays in spring and summer, this area becomes very crowded and heavily trafficked. Tourists from Golpayegan, Khansar, Khomein, and other cities of Iran go to Koochari to see the pristine nature and enjoy the clean air. There are no facilities around this pristine area, so you must bring everything you need with you, from water and food to camping or picnic equipment!
