Among the tourist attractions of Kashan is the Nushabad underground city. As its name suggests, this mysterious area is located at a depth of four to eighteen meters below the earth's surface. Researchers say this historical structure was built before the advent of Islam by ancient humans for military and defensive purposes. This city has three floors, consisting of rooms, tunnels, corridors, wells, and more. Vertical wells connect these floors. Many also know this underground city by the name Shahrooei.
