Description

Fekri Mansion

If you want to get acquainted with authentic southern architecture and walk among the bricks of history, do not miss Fekri Mansion in Bandar Lengeh. This magnificent mansion belongs to the Qajar era and was registered as a national heritage site in 1996. Fekri Mansion belonged to a famous merchant in Bandar Lengeh named Abdolvahid Fekri, who not only lived in this mansion but also used it as a place for his business meetings. For this reason, the architecture of Fekri Mansion was designed with inner and outer sections to preserve the privacy of the household members. Among the famous elements of southern architecture in this building, we can mention the windcatchers. Fekri Mansion has 5 windcatchers that were used to cool the house during the hot and scorching southern days.
