The Dragon-shaped Castle is one of the historical buildings of the city of Lar in Fars Province. This historic city houses valuable historical buildings, most of which are over a thousand years old. The Dragon-shaped Castle, located on a hill on the northern side of the historic city of Lar, is one of the important ancient monuments of the city built during the Sassanid era. This castle, which had several protective layers, was so fortified that it was called the Kiani talisman. This castle was inhabited until the late Qajar period but unfortunately is now deteriorating, although its courtyard and walls are still well identifiable. The castle is 700 meters long and about 170 meters wide.
