Sabzevar Grand Mosque
This grand mosque is one of the tourist attractions of Sabzevar, built during the Sarbedaran period, covering an area of about 4,000 square meters. The iwan, qibla, shabestan, corridor, and courtyard are the most important parts of the mosque.
In the eastern corridor of the northern iwan of the mosque, you can see inscriptions from the Safavid era, which include an order from Shah Tahmasp Safavi and considerations for the people of Sabzevar. Seven-color tiles and kashikari tiles, 8th-century Hijri architecture, and the portal are among the most important decorations and beauties of the mosque. The mosque has some basic facilities sufficient for a few hours of sightseeing.
