Description

The Grand Mosque of Gaz, known locally as Majid Baleh (Great), is a thousand years old and is the oldest historical monument in Dowlatabad Borkhar County in northern Isfahan. With its ancient building, it is one of the mosques from the early Islamic period and is recognized as one of the oldest mosques in Isfahan. The Grand Mosque of Gaz Borkhar was built on the remains of a fire temple established by Bahman, son of Esfandiar.
