The Suleymaniye Mosque of Tabriz, known as the Master and Apprentice Mosque, is located on Ferdowsi Street in Tabriz. Its initial construction was carried out by Amir Hossein Choupani in the year 742 AH. The mosque is named after Suleiman, the grandson of Hulagu Khan, and for this reason, it is also known as Suleymaniye or Alayiyeh. The internal inscriptions in the handwriting of Abdullah Sirafi, a famous calligrapher of the Ilkhanid period, are the reason for the mosque's current name. This building includes a dome and two large rooms and was completely restored during the era of Abbas Mirza Naib al-Saltaneh. A marble stone on the northern wall shows the date of repair and the name of the restorer in Nastaliq script.
