Description

Another sightseeing spot in Golpayegan is the Brick Minaret. Golpayegani people call the Brick Minaret "Mil Golpayegan." This relic from the Seljuk era, standing 18 meters tall, has witnessed the ups and downs of Golpayegan since the 5th century AH. An interesting point about the Brick Minaret among Golpayegan's sights is that despite 1000 years passing, it still stands firm against earthquakes and natural disasters. It is said that Mil Golpayegan was built simultaneously with the Grand Mosque and the Chaharsuq Bazaar.

The Brick Minaret, one of Golpayegan's sights, has two spiral staircases with 64 steps leading to the top of the minaret. On the brick inscription of this historical monument, verses from the Quran are written in Kufic script; however, no date is recorded on it. Some parts of this national monument were restored in 1938 while preserving the historical texture.
