The protected area of Mianjangal was designated as a "no hunting" zone in 1988, and thereafter, due to the special habitat importance of the area considering the diversity of plant species present, in 1996 with an approximate area of 56 hectares, it was added as a "protected area" under the management of the Environmental Protection Organization. This area, which is considered one of the tourist attractions of Fasa, is divided into western and eastern parts. In the western part, we observe mountains and foothills, and in the eastern part, there are hills, small mounds, and relatively small plains. About 325 plant species grow in this area, most of which are perennial plants, often shrubs, trees, and bushes. Among the animal species residing in Mianjangal are goats and wild goats, mouflon and sheep, wolves, foxes, wild boars, birds such as various birds of prey, red-billed crows, black-bellied sandgrouse, and houbara bustards, and reptiles like spurred and Caspian turtles, various lizards and monitor lizards, snakes, and amphibians.
