Description

The Glassware and Pottery Museum, a colorful narrative of Iranian art

One of the most beautiful sightseeing areas in Tehran is Si-e Tir Street. The Glassware Museum is also located on this street and is one of the most beautiful museums in Iran and tourist attractions in Tehran. This delicacy and beauty can be seen both in the building and in the finesse of the displayed artifacts. The Glass and Glassware Museum is established in the octagonal house of Ghavam al-Saltaneh. Ghavam al-Saltaneh, as you may know, was one of the powerful politicians during the Qajar and Pahlavi periods who served as Prime Minister five times.

The Ghavam al-Saltaneh residence was purchased by Farah Pahlavi's office for Farah's daughter and later converted into a museum. In this museum, which is also registered on the national heritage list, you can see glassware in stunning colors, rare pottery with striking designs, and pearl and stone jewelry from various periods.
