The city of Zavareh alone has a history of several thousand years and has been mentioned in various historical books. For this reason, the construction of a museum in honor of the people of Zavareh and their history began in 2005 at the site of the shrine of Mir Bahāʾ al-Dīn Ḥaydar, one of the great mystics of Zavareh during the Ilkhanate period. Finally, the Zavareh Anthropology Museum was opened in 2010 on a 700 square meter land centered around the house of Sheikh Mir Bahāʾ al-Dīn Ḥaydar as a two-story building. Now this museum is also known as the Zavareh Museum or the Zavareh History Museum.
