The Museum of Decorative Arts of Isfahan is one of the tourist attractions of Isfahan, built during the time of Shah Abbas as one of the Safavid government buildings. The name of this mansion in the past was Rakib House, where Rakib means stirrup and horse tack; according to this name, this mansion was originally built to store equestrian equipment and was a kind of state stable.
It is a building with beautiful architecture and decorations, consisting of 7 main sections where historical objects from all over Iran have been collected and displayed. The seven sections of the museum include calligraphy and handwriting, lacquer and oil works, miniature painting, wooden works, handwoven items, glassware, metal works, pottery, and porcelain.
