Bamu is the name of one of Iran's national parks. This national park takes its name from Mount Bamu in the same region, which is considered the highest point of this area. Bamu Park is essentially a plain located among mountains, and this condition indicates the presence of animals such as wild sheep, goats, wild boars, and others on the slopes of the mountains and hills. By visiting this park, you can see them up close and, under special conditions, even touch them; various animal and plant species like Shirazi sugar plum, black hazelnut, and Isfahani cross live there.
If an early spring occurs in this region, Bamu National Park becomes filled with primroses, tulips, and wild poppies, which are very beautiful and eye-catching. Along with all the attractions this protected area has, at the entrance, you can also visit the local natural history museum. This museum displays a collection of taxidermied native animals that you can visit.
Note: Bamu National Park is divided into two parts: "Recreational area and wildlife museum" and "Extensive recreational area." Please note that to visit the extensive recreational area, you need to obtain a permit from the Environmental Protection Organization of Fars Province. Another important point to note is that the museum section is only open during the New Year holidays and for group visits.
