We all know that a bridge is a place to pass, but Khajoo Bridge is one of Isfahan's sights that is more a place to stop than to pass!
Khajoo Bridge of Isfahan was built on the order of Shah Abbas II during the Safavid era over the Zayandeh River. This bridge was not an ordinary bridge; part of it was built as a place for the king to stay and at the same time, like a dam, it had the ability to regulate the water flow in the past.
Khajoo Bridge, a bridge 133 meters long, 12 meters wide, and 7.5 meters passage, has various names. But the main reason for its naming is that it is located in the Khajoo neighborhood. In the architecture of Khajoo Bridge of Isfahan, the principle of symmetry and proportion has been observed in such a way that it has turned into one of Isfahan's tourist attractions. Walking on Khajoo Bridge at sunset or at night when it is illuminated is a calming experience that you must try in Isfahan. The poetic and beautiful atmosphere of this bridge at sunset has been the theme of poems by some poets, including Saeb Tabrizi.
