One of the most interesting historical buildings in the city of Gorgan is the Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar Palace, which was built by his order in the year 1156. The Kolah Farangi mansion, which was mostly a place for hosting the statesmen of the time, the Darolomareh mansion, and also the Darolhokomeh mansion are among the main parts of this historical building. It is interesting to know that James Morier, a prominent British diplomat, also visited this mansion two centuries ago and described its beauty in his book. In his descriptions, it is mentioned that the palace's entrance doors were decorated with gold and citrus trees grew throughout the garden of the mansion. However, unfortunately, during different historical periods, the beauties of this magnificent mansion were not preserved as they should have been, and even parts of the main building were destroyed. Currently, with the passage of time, only the main building of the palace remains, and many changes have occurred in its appearance.
