Description

The Tachar Palace is considered the oldest and best-preserved palace of Persepolis. This palace is one of the few buildings in Persepolis that was not set on fire during Alexander's invasion.

The Tachar Palace, also known as the private palace of Darius the Great of the Achaemenid Empire and the Tachra Palace, was one of the first palaces built on the terrace of Persepolis. This palace is located south of Persepolis and is also oriented to the south. The Tachar Palace, made of fine and polished gray stones, is one of the attractions of Persepolis and is considered one of the sights of Marvdasht.
