This caravanserai is among those built simultaneously with other caravanserais along the roads of Iran during the Safavid era by order of Shah Abbas Safavi. This caravanserai, with its unique and traditional architecture, was mainly constructed for economic and commercial reasons on the route of Shiraz, Kharameh, Sirjan, Kerman. It served as the third stop for travelers and merchants after Dodaj and Dariun, and after passing Kharameh, travelers would stop here to rest and prepare for the continuation of their journey, as well as for loading and trading.
