About a thousand years ago, when Amir Abbas Samani was fleeing from the Romans during the Crusades; he finally emerged from this very village.
With this in mind, one can expect that around those impassable hills, there are pristine natural areas and a wealth of ancient artifacts. Of course, the bitter and repetitive story of Iran's environment is also repeated here, as the construction of an industrial town near the city has brought pollution to the pristine nature of the north.
