Description

The Alaviyan Dome of Hamadan is one of the architectural masterpieces after Islam in Hamadan. The Alaviyan Dome, which is considered a relic from the Seljuk era, was originally built as a mosque by the Alaviyan family.

In later years, by constructing a crypt under this building, it was converted into the family tomb of the Alaviyans. Although this building currently does not have a dome, its name is derived from the dome it had in the past.
