Until today, many archaeologists have visited this historic dome; however, none have succeeded in revealing its exact construction date. Ancient books do not mention the Harooniyeh Dome, and there is no inscription or epigraph in this complex that unveils this secret. This has led to many speculations about its history, causing experts to disagree. It is unlikely that in any discussion about the historical buildings of Mashhad, the name Harooniyeh Dome is not mentioned. This 1000-year-old dome, with its earthy color and pleasant architecture, stands near Ferdowsi's tomb and has become one of Mashhad's most unique tourist attractions. Over the past thousand years, this structure has witnessed many events, allowing us today to witness a masterpiece of architecture in ancient Iranian history. Some experts attribute the dome's age to the 6th century AH, while others say its architecture dates back to the pre-Islamic era.
