Siah Tash Sisar Waterfall

The Siah Tash Waterfall is one of the natural attractions of the lush Gilan province. Every year, this waterfall attracts many nature lovers and travelers. It is located 20 kilometers from the city of Amlash in the Rankouh district. To reach this waterfall, you must walk a 2-kilometer path through the forest. Climbing the waterfall wall requires professional mountaineering equipment and advanced rock climbing experience.

Historical Age of Siah Tash Waterfall

Considering the rock layers in the waterfall walls, it can be inferred that this waterfall formed several hundred years ago in this area. The history of Amlash city dates back to before Islam. Artifacts and objects discovered in this city confirm this. However, geological and petrological studies on the Amlash waterfall are still ongoing.

Touristic Features of Sisar Waterfall

This waterfall falls from a height of 5 meters. An interesting point about this waterfall is that it falls from a 50-meter-high rock wall. Therefore, behind the waterfall, you can see rock faces with historical significance.

All the waterfall walls are made of stone and appear like a painting. At the bottom of the waterfall, a pond has formed, which is a suitable place for recreation and swimming.
