Hippocrates' Tomb, one of the tourist attractions of Sabzevar, is the burial place of one of the great doctors of Sabzevar named "Haj Mohammad Hossein bin Mohammad Taghi Sabzevari," nicknamed "Hippocrates Al-Tawliya," who lived during the Qajar era. This great doctor was born in 1240 in Sabzevar and died in 1323. Throughout his life, he authored many medical books and saved the lives of many people. One of the most important features of this tomb is its octagonal shape and brick dome. The brick decorations above the surrounding drum towers of the building are extraordinary. These decorations can be considered signs of the influence of Western architecture during the Qajar period.
