The magnificent mausoleum of Khwaja Rabi is located in the northwest of Mashhad, at the end of Khwaja Rabi Street. This building was constructed by Shah Abbas Safavi and commissioned by Sheikh Baha'i in the early 11th century AH.
The foundation of the current mausoleum of Khwaja Rabi is the same as that built between 1026 and 1031 AH by order of Shah Abbas and under the supervision of one of the Razavi Sayyids of Mashhad named Mirza Aflagh.
The mausoleum of Khwaja Rabi is one of the beautiful, scenic, and sacred places located in a vast garden on the bank of the Kashf River, and for this reason, it is always visited and attended by the people of Mashhad, pilgrims, and travelers who come to Mashhad. Considering the time of Khwaja's death, he is among the oldest figures buried around the current city of Mashhad. His tomb has been a respected place and a pilgrimage site for all Muslims for the past fourteen centuries.
