The tomb of Khayyam is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nishapur, which few travelers end their journey without seeing. The tomb of this famous poet is located in a beautiful garden. When you enter the garden, you see the statue of Khayyam. But take your eyes off the statue and the tall trees of the garden to reach the main building of the tomb. Here is a spectacular building artistically designed by engineer Hooshang Seyhoun. This valuable building with unparalleled architecture was built in 1962. This architectural masterpiece has 10 inscriptions, each containing two quatrains by Khayyam. Seyhoun designed all the details of this building according to the personality of Omar Khayyam, such as the number of these inscriptions which is 10, because 10 is the first two-digit number.
