Azadkuh
This mountain, with an elevation of 4355 meters, is located near Chalus County, Pol Zanguleh area, south of Nesen village and southwest of Kalak village. Due to its conical shape and geographical location, it is also known as the "Prince Kooj Gardan".
Because of the pristine nature of this area, diverse vegetation, mountain lakes, and natural glaciers, Azadkuh is considered one of the popular peaks for mountaineers in Central Alborz.
Just remember that the route from Varangeh Rud village is the longest path, and the route from Upper Kalak village is the shortest and easiest way to ascend the peak; however, the Upper Kalak route requires ropes and mountaineering equipment in some places.
The best time to visit Azadkuh is the months of Tir and Mordad.
