Imamzadeh Ruhollah (peace be upon him) is a descendant of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him). The sacred shrine of this revered Imamzadeh is one of the old blessed sites in Tehran. According to the date inscribed on the old shrine's entrance inscription, its construction dates back to the year 1311 AH (1272 SH). This honorable Imamzadeh was martyred and buried in this holy place in the early 10th century AH.
