At an altitude of about 1880 meters above sea level, in the city of Rudehen in Damavand County, Tehran Province, there is a stone tower tomb known as Imamzadeh Mohammad Taqi, son of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS).
The Imamzadeh building is an octagonal tower with an archway on each outer side, but there are no archways inside. The dome of the Imamzadeh is a double-shelled dome, appearing as a ribbed dome from the outside and a honeycomb dome from the inside. Under the dome inside, there are beautiful traditional decorations that some sources describe as unique.
The main materials of the building are rubble stone and mortar made of plaster and sarooj; its exterior was originally coated with traditional plaster mortar and in recent years covered with white cement. All interior surfaces of the Imamzadeh are plastered, and a simple wooden grille was placed over the grave.
Based on the style and comparison with similar structures, its age is attributed to the 7th and 8th centuries AH.
