The Lake of Spirits, also called "Mamraz" lake, is surrounded by Mamraz and Tooska trees. The swampy water, broken tree trunks in the lake water, thick fog, and silence have caused this lake to be named the Lake of Spirits. The length and width of this lake, one of the sights of Nowshahr, are 700 meters and 300 meters respectively, and the Mamraz trees around it have rotted over many years due to being next to the water.
The lake and the surrounding forest area are listed among the protected areas of Mazandaran, and for this reason, it is one of the most untouched and pristine parts of Mazandaran.
