The Tamisha Wall is one of the lesser-known historical structures in Golestan Province, extending about 12 kilometers. This wall starts from the northern slopes of the Alborz mountain range and reaches the Gorgan Bay. Its origin dates back to the Sassanid era, and based on archaeological studies, it once had wooden chambers that were probably used as watchtowers and guard posts. The Tamisha Wall was part of the region's historical defense system and is now recognized as one of the valuable ancient monuments of northern Iran. Get directions.
