The Ekbatan Dam in Hamadan is a large dam with an area of 60 hectares, built at the confluence of the Yalfan and Abroo rivers.
An interesting point about the Ekbatan Dam or Shahnaz Dam is its age, dating back to the year 1338 in the Iranian calendar, which is why it is recognized as a historical structure. The nature around the dam's lake is a recreational area for weekends and picnics, with limited facilities such as restrooms, a guesthouse, and a restaurant. Additionally, you can fish at the dam with a permit and watch the sunset in the late hours of the day.
