Rudbal Reservoir Dam Darab

The Rudbal reservoir dam in Fars is located near the village of Pol Shekasteh. The Rudbal dam project is part of the Rudbal dam and irrigation and drainage network plan. The purpose of building this dam is to control the untimely flood flows of the Rudbal river – to supply part of the drinking water for the counties of Darab, Zarrindasht, Estahban, and Fasa – to supply agricultural water for about 4300 hectares of the central plain lands of Darab – to supply the water needed for the petrochemical factories under construction in Darab, Estahban, and Fasa.
