« Darabgerd » is the name of one of the oldest cities of ancient Iran. This county, which was formerly known by other names such as Daragard, seems to have been the first capital of the Sassanid Empire, and archaeologists have estimated its antiquity to be equal to that of the Achaemenid Empire. It is interesting to know that a large conical wall over 10 meters high, made of materials such as clay, stone, and lime mortar, surrounds this historic city, with a history of nearly 2600 years. Of course, the current height of this ancient wall has decreased to 7 meters due to the passage of time. Another important point about this ancient city is its assignment to Imam Hasan Mojtaba (peace be upon him), which is mentioned in the peace treaty between him and Muawiya, reflecting its significance throughout history.
