City of Jooybar

Jooybar was part of Qaemshahr County until 1997, but after that, it was recognized as an independent county. The name Jooybar is composed of two words: "Jooy" meaning small river and "Bar" meaning shore, and due to the presence of numerous streams and rivers flowing into the Caspian Sea, this name was chosen for it.

This city, with an approximate area of 300 square kilometers, is one of the important agricultural centers in the region due to its moderate climate and fertile soil.
