The Footprint of Abolfazl al-Abbas Gerash

There is no precise and historically documented information about the footprint attributed to Hazrat Abolfazl al-Abbas (AS) in the city of Gerash that can be definitively stated.

However, what is mentioned about this place in local beliefs and some unofficial sources can be summarized as follows:

Local belief: According to a traditional belief and oral story, it is said that Hazrat Abbas (AS) stopped at this place on a path (usually referring to the route of the caravan of Karbala captives towards Sham) and a trace of his foot remains on the stone. For this reason, it is called the "footprint".

Appearance: At this place, a depression resembling a footprint on a piece of stone is seen, which the local people attribute to Hazrat Abbas.
