Mohammadabad Castle of Jarqavieh

Another sightseeing place in Jarqavieh County is Mohammadabad Castle, located in the northern part of Mohammadabad city. This castle covers an area of seven thousand square meters and dates back to the Safavid era. It consists of a tall defensive tower 10 meters high and eight watchtowers. Inside the castle, there are five large houses, a stone pool, a central stable, and a large garden. A two-story building is also located in the southern part of the castle. The first floor of this building has four rooms along with a staircase connecting to the upper floor. On the upper floor, there are three rooms with a beautiful veranda, exquisitely painted and plastered. The courtyard of this historic castle also has a pool in the center and numerous trees and gardens surrounding the pool. Besides being open to the public for visits, this castle also provides suitable facilities for tourists to stay, creating pleasant memories for them.
