Pasargadae Ancient Complex
The place where the glorious history of the Achaemenid Empire was founded and is recognized as the first capital of this great empire. This area also contains the main and largest Achaemenid site in the world and has the most diverse and numerous artifacts from this period. National registration: This historical site was registered on September 15, 1931, with number 19 on the national heritage list.
World registration: This complex is the fifth Iranian site on the UNESCO World Heritage list, having entered this list with a 100% vote due to its numerous indicators and merits.
The tomb of Cyrus the Great among the various monuments of the Pasargadae complex is considered the most important and famous monument. Many recognize this ancient and historical site by this structure and travel the long way to Pasargadae to see it. Cyrus's tomb is located in the southern part of the complex and is said to have been built by his own order and supervision. A tomb with a simple but very beautiful and impressive structure, covering 156 square meters and 11 meters in height, still stands firm and proud in the Marghab plain after 25 centuries.
