The Ghorba Historical Cultural Complex, also known as the Dr. Mohammad Nasirian House, is one of the tourist attractions in Mashhad located in the heart of the old Sarab neighborhood. This mansion is nearly 100 years old and was once the residence of Dr. Nasirian, a well-known Mashhadi physician. After years of deterioration, the house was restored by the private sector and is now recognized as Mashhad's first house museum.
The Ghorba mansion building, with its brick facade, large wooden door, stained glass windows, and arched entrance, conveys a sense of authenticity and the beauty of Iranian architecture from the very beginning. The central courtyard of the house, with a blue pool in the middle and surrounding greenery, creates a pleasant and peaceful space reminiscent of traditional houses from the Qajar and Pahlavi eras.
One of the interesting and unique features of the Ghorba Historical Cultural Complex is the café museum operating in its courtyard. This café serves traditional tea, herbal drinks, and Qajar-style salty ice cream. A calm atmosphere with traditional music, wooden tables, and artistic decor makes this café a popular place to sit and enjoy the cultural ambiance of the complex.
