Description

Don't miss visiting the Nishapur Mosque, one of the tourist attractions of Nishapur. The Nishapur Grand Mosque, which is also the largest mosque in the city, is a legacy of the Timurid era and was rebuilt during the Safavid period. This building was registered as a national heritage site in 1317. The Grand Mosque has no dome or minaret, and you can see four iwans, three entrances, and five historical inscriptions. There is a pool in the courtyard of the mosque.

As for the inscriptions, two of them belong to Shah Abbas I and show the date 991 in the Solar Hijri calendar. Above the mihrab, you will also find Quranic inscriptions written in Thuluth script.
