Description

The Mosalla Mosque is one of the newly constructed buildings in Tehran, built in 1990 with an area of 650,000 square meters, and it holds the title of one of the largest mosques in the world. Interestingly, the large iwan of the Mosalla Mosque, with a height of 72 meters, was built in memory of the martyrs of the Karbala event. The Mosalla Mosque is one of the most famous religious places in Tehran.

Dr. Parviz Moayed Ahd, the architect and designer of the Mosalla Mosque, used both traditional and modern architecture in the construction. The Mosalla Mosque is a significant public work and a prominent example of the Islamic Republic's programs.

Every year, the Tehran Mosalla Mosque hosts the International Book Fair for book lovers and readers, attracting millions of visitors annually.
