The Gabrik Protected Area is one of the natural treasures of Hormozgan Province, located in the Gabrik rural district, a part of Bandar Jask. This area, with an area of 34,596 hectares, is considered one of the most important marine habitats in Iran and has been listed as a protected area since 2001. The unique vegetation of this area includes the exclusive mangrove forests of Hara, which grow in salty waters and create a rich ecosystem. Locally, the trees of these Hara forests are called "Tamar". These forests have tidal vegetation, meaning they are submerged during high tide and exposed during low tide. Due to its natural beauty, the Gabrik Protected Area is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bandar Jask. Boating among the Hara forests and bird watching are unforgettable experiences for nature lovers.
