Great Khorasan Museum Mashhad

The person whose architectural design for the construction of the Great Khorasan Museum was accepted was Dr. Mohammad Amin Mirfenderski, one of the professional and skilled Iranian architects. The exterior facade of the museum building is influenced by the architecture of the Khorshid Mansion or Nader Fort in Kalat, and the interior facade of the museum is also influenced by the architectural style of the great Estonian-American architect Louis Kahn.

The base area of the Great Khorasan Museum building covers 18,000 square meters and it is a 12-story building with a height of 53 meters. Currently, only three floors out of the twelve floors of the museum building are used as the museum. In the design and architecture of the interior of the museum building, Iranian and Islamic architecture is used, including very scattered mirror work and patterns in stone works, and it has minimal modern style.
