Damkesh Spring, Chaboksar

Damkesh Spring is located in the far eastern part of Gilan Province and Chaboksar, about 5 to 6 kilometers from the Chaboksar district, in a very beautiful area in the village of Fakjour Oshiyan. Damkesh Spring is located under an ancient maple tree, from inside a large pit beneath which water gushes out in a whirlpool form. The water flow of Damkesh Spring is intermittent, meaning sometimes it is dry for several hours or even days, and sometimes it flows continuously for several days. The cool breeze that always blows before the water of Damkesh Spring in Fakjour Rudsar arrives is one of the interesting features that people mention. Before the water rises, two cool breezes blow within a few minutes, alerting the locals to the water's arrival.

Many travelers visit this area daily because the air is completely mountainous and cool in the summer season, attracting every traveler to this direction. Another interesting point in this area is that about 40 meters above this spring, there is another spring that naturally and continuously flows water. Some people sometimes sit for hours in front of the spring waiting to see the moment the water rises, to splash some water on their hands and face or to drink a little. According to the locals, experts once came to this place and tested the spring water. After the tests, they realized that the spring water is in a good condition in terms of minerals and is effective for treating kidney diseases.
