Description

Soltan‌abad Palace

Soltan‌abad Palace was one of the oldest summer palaces of the Qajar kings. This palace was built at the end of a road leading to Pich Shemiran. The construction of Soltan‌abad Palace was completed in 1928 and afterwards it became the favorite retreat of Naser al-Din Shah. Unfortunately, a large part of this palace was demolished by order of Reza Shah, and today only parts of the pool house, the Mirror Hall, and the throne remain. However, you should know that today Soltan‌abad Palace is under the control of the Ministry of Defense and is used for official ceremonies. Therefore, visiting it is not open to the public. To get more familiar with Soltan‌abad Palace, you have to settle for viewing its photos.
